Dr. Nithin Amirth Jayasree from Brunel Composites Centre (BCC) delivered a presentation disseminating the FLEX project at the 19th European Conference on Composite Materials (ECCM19 - online section). The title of the presentation was “Flexible RTM tool concept for composites with spring back adjustment capabilities”. The presentation aims at introducing the various technical aspects of the FLEX project such as the novel RTM tool with distortion compensation capabilities, the thermal management of the multi-zone self-heated tooling system, closed-loop feedback control system and distortion surrogate model.
